Ginny Meier's Biography
Ginny and her husband Doug have been married for over 38 years and have two grown children and 6 grandchildren. She was raised in the Roman Catholic Church and at the age of sixteen, gave her life to Christ at a Billy Graham movie. She holds a Master’s Degree in Christian Ministry with an emphasis on Global Leadership from Faith Evangelical Seminary, Tacoma, WA. She is currently pursuing her Doctor of Ministry Degree in Strategic Leadership.
Ginny is a teacher of God’s Word and loves to share her insights into what the Lord has taught her through many years of diligent study and first hand “God” experiences. She loves to inspire the body of Christ to fulfill the call God has in their lives. No matter what a person’s background might be, God has a place for that person.
In January of 2003, Ginny (through the prodding of the Lord) establish her own ministry, called Oil of Joy Ministries (OJM). In 2004, Ginny was ordained as a minister by Church for All Nations, Tacoma, WA.
Oil of Joy Ministries continues to grow as Ginny brings the truth of God’s Word in a practical way to churches abroad and locally. OJM has also expanded its efforts in supporting missions in India. Sponsorship programs for Indian pastors, evangelists and orphan children are available through the ministry. OJM has built a number of churches in India and has established a number of orphanages. Her heart is to minister to the poor the love of the Lord. She also teaches the Bible at pastor and leader conferences in India as well as in jungle villages where most will not go. She believes in supporting the indigenous pastors in order to reach their countrymen as they are the ones who know the culture. For Ginny, it’s all about winning souls for Christ.
Through Ginny’s travels as a missionary to Western Samoa, Mexico, Cuba, and India, she has experienced God’s protection in supernatural ways as she has ventured into dangerous areas where Christians are openly persecuted in order to bring fresh insight to God’s Word. She is fulfilling her divine mandate to “go and preach to all nations” about Christ. She has seen many saved, healed and delivered from demonic possession. It is passion that drives her and the love and grace of God that sustains her.
