Pastor Tandi was born November 15, 1971 into a Hindu family in a small village in Orissa, India, one of the most backward states in India. His father was a village temple priest. After his father's death, Pastor Tandi was dropped into a Christian orphanage where he accepted Christ as his personal Lord and Savior. He qualified as a lawyer, but he could not resist the call of God for preaching the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. God spoke to him when he was crossing through a deadly river (walking in the water). He left his law profession in the court system and went to Bible College at Mumbai. After graduation, Pastor Tandi served the Lord at Kashmir Valley among the mountain people. He has a great burden for the proclamation of the Gospel and a big heart for poor and needy people. He has an apostolic calling on his life as he has over 30 mission outreach stations in Orissa. He now lives in the Kalahandi District of Orissa state and runs House of Joy Orphanage with 85 children. He is in the process of building another orphanage for boys. He will need a number of sponsors to fulfill this calling.
