A Wake Up Call To Singles

"Hi. My name is Angelo and I am your friend." I took that line from former pastor and world-known author and speaker John C. Maxwell. Like Maxwell, I like saying that line when I know I'll be sharing the truth, and nothing but the truth, to people. That's what Jesus was saying in Matthew 10:34 when He said, "I have not come to bring peace on earth, but a sword."

Jesus was trying to tell us that He's come to bring us the truth and nothing but the truth. Because the truth will set us free, especially for those who are more than willing to change. That's what I believe God was doing when He had my spiritual mentor/mother Ginny Meier bring Fred Mattson, Trina Simmons, and myself together. The Lord's mission for us: to rekindle the fire in the Singles' Ministry. Not just at Church For All Nations, but "all singles in the church." We come to bring the truth...and rekindle a massive bonfire that will spread like wildfire throughout our church and, by God's grace, other churches as well.

There are more Christian singles in the church than you realize. Yes, even more than married couples.

My goal is to let people know there is life before marriage and God has a plan and a purpose for you. Fred, Trina, and I are motivational teachers whose goals are to teach Christian singles how to motivate themselves to apply Biblical principles to their lives. No, we are not certified speakers or pastors, but merely godly men and women fulfilling the Great Commission. Why? Because we've been there. We understand. We relate. And that's what it's all about. My pastor Bill Wolfson always says, "There's only one thing you take to Heaven...and that's relationships." What a powerful statement. I believe that's what makes him so relatable. It's what made Jesus so relatable.

How relatable are you? How well do you know the people of your church? When was the last time you said "Hi" to someone you didn't know? Gave someone a hug? Spoke an encouraging word to someone?

Doesn't Scripture say that we are to speak "spirit and life" into each other? Maybe that's why the Holy Spirit led me to this verse to be our mission statement for the singles. It's 2 Corinthians 5:20. [Amplified] "So we are Christ's ambassadors, God making His appeal as it were through us. We (as Christ's personal representatives) beg you for His sake to lay hold of the divine favor (now offered you) and be reconciled to God."

That's what we are all about. Our goal is to help singles understand who and what they are in Christ. And how to live their lives with passion and purpose for Christ. I truly believe with all my heart that God is doing a massive wake-up call in the church, in particular the singles.

But how can the Christian singles receive the Lord's blessings if they don't first step up to receive His calling? It grieves my spirit to see so many Christian singles living failed lives. God has called us to teach Christian singles how to live successfully, first, living for the Lord.

Here's a sneak preview of some of the topics we have and will be talking about: Breaking Bad Habits From God's Image to Your Self-image Personality Building Relationships & Mentorships Being Content in Your Singleness Are You Ready for Marriage?

These messages help bring singles to a whole new level. Are you ready to let Him do what He needs to do in your life? Then you can be that light of the world for others. You have all been called to a ministry on earth. Nothing changes if nothing changes, and nothing changes if no one is willing to change.

It does not matter if you are in your 20's or 60's or somewhere in-between. You have so much to look forward to, especially if you are single. Getting things right as a single means that if you do get married one day, it will be that much more of a beautiful and humble blessing. But let's do it right, singles. Let's make this year of breakthrough be our breakout year. Let the voice of the "silent majority" shout throughout and beyond the church that we are here and we shall make a difference.

We are a force to be reckoned with. We shall represent our Lord & King Christ Jesus. God is calling us out this very season to get to know Him better so we can live life and live it more abundantly. So we can succeed and prosper as it is written. So we can truly represent Christ as His ambassadors and leave this world with God's signature on it. Amen.
